Eppstein is a very safe, residential community between Frankfurt (30 km) and Wiesbaden (20 km).  The local Taunus hills are a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers. 

The apartment is in Eppstein-Vockenhausen, a 15-minute walk to the S-Bahn station (1/2-hour S-Bahn connection to Frankfurt's city center). Forest and playground are less than two blocks away.
